1. How much is this going to cost me?
Always the number one question even if you don't ask me this first. The client always wants to know how this will effect their pocket. Please see my price examples to get an idea. I can't give you an exact price until we discuss what you want your site to project and what it will take to do this. When your site is visited, what do you want the visitor to learn about you and your business? Do you want to sell a product over the Internet, outline a service you have available or simply give information? These things must be considered as the information or content you want to present to the public as the central point of your site. My fee is a one time fee to design the site and maintenance thereafter is charged on a monthly or yearly fee.

2. Why would my company need a website?
Would you like your storefront open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Well potential customers do. They want to shop at their convenience and find out detailed information about your services or products. Your store will always be open on the Internet. Maybe the question should be "Why wouldn't I want a Web site?" Does your competitors have a web site? It may not be necessary to "keep up with the Jones" in your personal life but it is absolutely essential in your business life if you want your business to remain competitive and profitable.

3. How do I get started with a site?
You already have the needed materials to start your site. You have the vision, and all you need to do is get this information to me. I will develop your site to be user friendly and meet your expectations. Your site will be posted for you to see before I place it on your own server. After you have made any changes and are completely satisfied, then your site will be posted on your own server and submitted to the search engines. Then after the site is built, I will work with you to completely manage your Perfect Site! I won't leave you "high and dry" after the site is built. Management of the site includes updates and adding additional pages as needed at an additional fee that can be monthly or yearly depending on your needs.

4. How will someone find my site?
Included in the fee for design is submission to search engines. I will do my best to get you listed high on the list. I will use my best knowledge to insert the right keywords and tags needed to do this. But there is no guarantee, as search engines do all that work and it can take weeks for them to even look at the site. Your web site address, or Universal Resource Locator (URL), should be included on every piece of printed material you give anyone such as business cards, letterheads, invoices, bills, advertising material, radio and television ads, etc.

5. How long will it take before my site is finished?
The length of time is dependent on you. How quickly you are in providing information to me that you want included on site. I will design the site for you in a timely manner with materials provided to me.

6. I don't have my own domain name, how do I get one?
Getting your own domain name is an easy process. There is a fee for it that varies depending on who you are having host your site. I will work with you to help you choose the best name needed for your site.

7. Can I have a shopping cart on my site?
I prefer to use a shopping cart service like PayPal and we can discuss the options that they provide.

8. What does my website need to be?
Your website needs to be ..the reflection of your business. Gear it towards your customer. As a communication tool, a website can only be effective if the audience obtains the complete experience. This means the site be accessible to reach the largest audience possible. Your site must be intuitive, pleasing, and most of all accessible. Your site must have the quality, flexibility and reliability to achieve the results you need from it.

9. Will a website make me a millionaire?
Some would have you believe you can put up a web site and retire to the "good life" while money floods your bank account. This is probably not going to happen. A well designed web site can be a valuable marketing tool that can help your business remain competitive, profitable and expand its market share by providing additional leads, customers, sales, profit and higher customer satisfaction. It should not, of course, be your only marketing strategy. In fact, you will have to market it!

10. What will you need from me to get started?
I will let you know through email what is needed to make your site a successs on the internet. To generalize, and as a bare minimum, you will need to supply to me any pre made graphics you wish to be included in your site, and text copy for your pages.

If interested in downloading a doc file it contains more information on getting started.

12. Why do I need a web site designer?
Quite frankly, with all the inexpensive software available, anyone can create a web site. However, will that web site be search engine friendly, content-rich, and pleasing in appearance? Will you know how to include a shopping cart, feedback forms, unique graphics? I have spent countless hours studying these concepts and can provide you with a Web site that is not only user-friendly, but is search engine friendly as well. You need a custom look based on the image your company wants to present to its customers.

13. What address will my site have?
You may want to register a domain name for your company (such as www.mybusiness.com). Having your own domain displays an added level of professionalism and shows that you are serious about your business. It reinforces your company name in the minds of your visitors. If you do not register a domain name your address could be any number of things depending on your host server. I will need to have access to your account while I am building your site and afterwards if you require me to make changes or updates later.

14. What kind of material will you put on a site?
I will not create any porno sites, hate sites, or any other form of objectionable content. I also reserve the right to refuse my services to anyone based on content of the site.
