"Building a Porch"
(Fall 2000)

In October,2000
Scott decided to build me the front porch I have been wanting for 10 years.
Since this was his first attempt at such a feat, he was recruiting help from his friends.
Jason stopped by with Tash one Sunday afternoon and he put him to work.
I helped that day too, but that was before Jason showed up.
So we had no one to take pictures.
I really did help !!!

Even Tash was helpful that day.
She managed to keep the animals off the porch.

Several weeks passed and I was worried I was not going to get a roof on my porch.
Scott had other projects and leaves to rake so time was limited.

Then Bill came by and they watched the Eagles game on a Sunday afternoon.
This game went into overtime, so only one board was put up.
They did take time to discuss plans to work on it the next weekend though.

Another Sunday afternoon in December,
and the weather was getting a bit brisk but during half time,
Bill and Scott did manage to get the roof framed out.

Now I was really getting worried,
Christmas was soon to be here.
Scott and Brian came home from work
one day and got busy.
They had a really cold day with alot of wind,
but they managed to get the roof on.

The next day before the Eagles game started.
Bill, Brian and Scott weathered the elements again and finished the roofing job.

Now it was my turn to do something with my new porch.
It was well worth the wait and...
I am so thankful to these guys for all their hard work.
